Anterior wall aneurysm of the intenal carotid artery successfully treated solely by stenting: with special reference to aetiology

Abstract
Blood blister-like anterior wall aneurysms of the internal carotid artery (ICA) are rare but clinically important entity of subarachnoid hemorrhage. However, the optimal treatment of its remains uncertain. We report a case of a ruptured anterior wall aneurysm of the internal carotid artery, which disappeared on angiography immediately after stent emplacement, focusing on the underlying nature of the lesion and this possible alternative treatment.
